Rapper, MI Abaga sends open message to Taraba reps, Shawulu [VIDEO]

Popular Nigerian rapper and African rap star, MI Abaga has sent an one open message to the member representing Donga, Takum, USSA and Yangtu development area at the Federal House of assembly, Hon. Rimam Shawulu Kwewum.

The message was contained in  48 seconds video where the rapper was seen calling the legislator to ensure from his own angle that the bill on "Protection from Internet Falsehoods and Manipulation Bill" isn't passed to law.

MI Abaga further added that the bill doesn't represent the mind of the youths and its far from what the youths belief in. Abaga  expressed confidence that Hon. Shawulu will do the needful

Rhapsodi Affos Blog, RAB findings shows that this is the very first time that the Taraba born, rapper and Jos/Lagos based rapper is getting himself involved with domestic politics in his home state, Taraba.

The video has generated a mix reaction among the youths of the state, while others see it as a forum to reunite with his people and possibly link up with entertainers around Taraba and sign some of them into his new label, Incredible Music (IM).


It could be recalled that MI Abaga released an EP a week ago, Judah which also marked the end of his 13 years  journey with the renowned Chocolate City and launched his label, Incredible Music (IM).

It could also be recalled that the Anti-social Media Bill was introduced by the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on 5 November 2019 to criminalise the use of the
social media in peddling false or malicious information.The original title of the bill is ‘Protection from Internet Falsehood and Manipulations Bill 2019’.

 It was sponsored by Senator Mohammed Sani Musa from the largely conservative northern Nigeria with 85 per cent illiteracy with low internet penetration and social media activities.
